Gridiron Victoria Week 11: 13-14 July

Warriors vs Rangers

Week 11 of the 2013 Gridiron Victoria season and we have turned the corner on our crossover games and now the final five rounds towards the playoffs.

Results from week 11

Monash Barbarians defeat Melbourne Uni Royals 32-14
Croydon Rangers defeat Monash Warriors 21-12
Northern Raiders defeat Bendigo Dragons 60-0
Geelong Buccaneers defeat Berwick Miners 50-12

A couple of massive matchups that will help shake out the standings, remembering that the top 3 advance in division 1, whilst the final 4 will battle it out in division 2.

Saturday July 13th @ Ranger Field, Springfield Avenue Croydon

Division Two Championship rematch with the Royals and Barbarians going to battle in the early game at 10:30am. Followed by the home town Rangers taking on the Warriors at 1:30pm with the Rangers trying to get into the top 3.

Sunday July 14th @ Raider Field, LE Cotchin Reserve Reservoir

The Raiders host the Dragons in the early game at 10:30am with the home team looking to cement a playoff berth and the Dragons sneak into 4th.

This is followed by the Miners and Buccaneers from 1:30pm.

Gridiron Victoria Week 10: July 4th Celebration Skull Bowl

Skull Bowl July 4th

Gridiron Victoria heads into the final round of crossover games in week 10 before the 5 week march to the playoffs!

On Saturday 6th July we celebrate US Independence with the Skull Bowl! The home town Northern Raiders host the Geelong Buccaneers at 1:30pm in Reservoir. Who will take home the Bronze Marauder in the 2nd every Skull Bowl?

On Sunday 7th July we head down to Endeavor Hills for the morning matchup of the Western Crusaders and Melbourne Uni Royals. Last year a touchdown separated these two teams, who knows which way it could go.

The afternoon game sees the Gippsland Gladiators travel up the Princes to face the Berwick Miners at home at 1:30pm.

Also, Esira Ramasira from the Berwick Miners who has been selected to the Polynesian Warriors squad. VGOA referee Graham Wilson has been selected as part of the officiating crew.

The Outback team takes on the Polynesia All Stars on Saturday 29th June in Sydney.

Charity Bowl supporting beyondblue featuring NFL running back Ricky Williams

Gridiron Victoria is proud to present the inaugural CHARITY BOWL on Sunday 9th June, proudly supporting beyondblue.

The event will feature a very special guest, Heisman trophy winner and NFL star running back Ricky Williams will attend and toss the coin prior to the match.
