Gridiron Victoria Week 11: 14th & 15th July

Week 11 rolls around and the defining round of the 2012 season.

On Saturday 14th July we headed down to The Cove in Corio for the top of the table clash where the  Bay City Buccaneers pipped the Monash Warriors 7-6 in a fantastic match.

In the afternoon game, the Division Two leading Melbourne Uni Royals  knocked off the reigning champion Northern Raiders 6-0 in another close contest.

On Sunday we turned to Footscray and another vital clash for the division two standings. In the morning the rising Monash Barbarians defeated the Gippsland Gladiators 14-6.

In the afternoon the Western Crusaders overcame the Berwick Miners 20-14 in a really good contest.

GVTV Episode Two

Episode Two of Gridiron Victoria Television has gone to air and will be replayed this Saturday, 14th July at 2:00pm on Channel 31.

First episode was massive and we have made some improvements across the board to bring you a very special production.

Celebrate Independence Day with Gridiron Victoria on Saturday July 7th

Gridiron Victoria will acknowledge and celebrate America’s National, Day Independence Day July 4th during the Week 10 fixture on Saturday 7th July at Raider Field, LE Cotchin Reserve, Massy Avenue in Reservoir.

Results in Week 10:

  • Monash Warriors defeat Croydon Rangers 16-0
  • Northern Raiders defeat Gippsland Gladiators 12-6
  • Bay City Buccaneers defeat Western Crusaders 29-12

Entry is FREE! There will be American food and entertainment including:

  • Jumping castle and face painting for the kids
  • Food will feature Hotdogs, Hamburgers, and Pizza
  • Cheerleaders from La Trobe University
  • Raffle to win some great prizes
  • Classic American cars
  • Plus much more!

We encourage all ex-pats to come and enjoy a day of American Football in a great setting.

Gridiron Victoria Week 9: 30th June & 1st July


Week 9 and back to divisional games, all 4 with massive implications as things get very busy at the top of the standings.

Saturday morning at The Cove in Corio the Bay City Buccaneers defeated the Croydon Rangers 13-2.

Later in the day the Gippsland Gladiators defeated the Croydon Stars 12-6.

On Sunday 1st July  down in Berwick the Monash Barbarians defeated the Melbourne Uni Royals 8-6.

In the afternoon game the Monash Warriors defeated the Berwick Miners 12-0.

Gridiron Victoria Week 8: 23rd & 24th July

UPDATE: The match between the Bay City Buccaneers and the Gippsland Gladiators has been cancelled due to conditions in Morwell and moved to week 15 when both teams have a bye.

Week 8 of Gridiron Victoria and another round of cross-divisional matches.

On Saturday in Croydon the Western Crusaders faced the Croydon Stars, winning 36-0. In the afternoon game the Croydon Rangers defeated the Northern Raiders 60-0.

On Sunday in Berwick the Berwick Miners defeated the Melbourne Uni Royals 32-14.
