GV is proud to announce the entertainment for the 2015 Vic Bowl on Saturday 15th August.
Following a wildly successful event in Bendigo last year that featured flame throwers and a live HD video stream, the league is expanding its world class offering by adding a world class entertainer.
Singer Marvin Lee Aday, who sometimes goes by the name Meatloaf will perform at half time of the Division One Vic Bowl, in addition to performing the Star Spangled Banner live. The Australian National Anthem will likely be played via the GV President’s iTunes account.
“This marks an incredible evolution of our marquee event in the GV calendar. Having someone the calibre of Marvin will only further cement the Vic Bowl as the pre-eminent sporting event in Australia” a spokesperson for GV explained via email.
Despite widespread criticism of Meatloaf’s performance at the 2013 AFL Grand Final, the league is quick to reassure Gridiron fans that was very much an isolated incident.
“Meatloaf has been performing for more than 35 years and is a world class act. Frankly the MCG was a disappointing forum for someone of his calibre and we expect fans of American Football to warmly embrace him at the Vic Bowl.”
Reserve tickets for the Vic Bowl go on sale in June with prices starting at $699.
The announcement was made by the league on April 1st.
