Commercial to air on One HD

The league is excited about a new television commercial to air on the One HD sports channel from next Monday (6th December). The ad will be broadcast during all live NFL matches, all replays, MVP and NFL Total Access.

Be sure to keep an eye out for it, or, if you cannot wait that long check it out right now!

Rangers win Jr. Vic Bowl!

The Croydon Rangers won the 2010 Jr. Vic Bowl by a 32-14 score over the Monash Uni Warriors on Sunday Nov 28 at the Rangers ground.

Congrats to the Rangers players and their coaching staff.  Award winners were also announced on the day:

The “Future Stars” have been chosen as the first group in an elite program as Australia gears to take on American Samoa to qualify for the 2012 IFAF World Cup.  As a warm up, the Future Stars will play American Samoa in a friendly in January 2011, before their formal qualifier later in the year.  We wish them the best going forward and hope they represent their state and nation honorably.  Congratulations!

WADA Anti-Doping Code Prohibited List released

Please be advised that the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has released the World Anti-Doping Code 2011 Prohibited List, which will come into effect on 1 January 2011.

To give you a chance to familiarise yourself with the list, WADA has published it on their website http://www.wada-ama.org/en/World-Anti-Doping-Program/Sports-and-Anti-Do

along with a summary of major modifications and details on the 2011 monitoring program.

ASADA encourages you to ensure that your state organisations, athletes, team managers, medical officials and other support persons are aware of the new list, and remind athletes it is their responsibility to check the status of any medication or substance prior to use.

Athletes can re-check the status of their medications at any time by referring to the Check Your Substances tool https://checksubstances.asada.gov.au/ on the ASADA website. The Check Your Substances tool https://checksubstances.asada.gov.au/ will be updated to reflect the 2011 changes on 23 December 2010.
