Victorians Rory Dew (OT) & Adam Gotsis (DE) (both of the Warriors club), plus Hugh Tompkins and Jean Prill from NSW have been selected for the World Team train on squad in preparation for the game against Team USA, which will be on Feb 2.  All of the four mentioned players have both previously represented Australia.  If any are selected for the game, it will be the first time an Australian has represented a “world” side without having played a season in America (Jesse Williams was a player at Arizona Western prior to his selection).

Rory deserves special mention, as he becomes the first Victorian to earn a scholarship offer as a position player (non-punter), recently being offered a chance to play for the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.  Congrats Rory!
