Geelong Buccaneers defeat Western Crusaders 29-7
Bendigo Dragons defeat Ballarat Falcons 20-0
Gippsland Gladiators drew Monash Barbarians 6-6
Monash Warriors defeat Berwick Miners 43-8
Northern Raiders defeat Melbourne Uni Royals 9-6

Saturday is a special event up in Bendigo as the city plays host to the GOLDFIELDS BOWL between the hometown Bendigo Dragons and the Ballarat Falcons under lights at 7pm. The curtain raiser is a classic division one showdown between the Geelong Buccaneers and the Western Crusaders from 4pm.

On Sunday on the other side of the State in Morwell the Gippsland Gladiators host the Monash Barbarians with both sides coming off strong victories. This is followed by the Monash Warriors taking on the Berwick Miners in the late game.

Back in Melbourne also on Sunday the Melbourne Uni Royals host the Northern Raiders in Parkville in what could be the match of the round. Both teams have their sights set on  the division two crown and this will frame expectations for the year.
